On Saturday, July 15, from 1 – 4pm, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso will host a maternal health expo to provide expecting Brooklynites, new parents, and anyone who is planning pregnancy with information on a healthy pregnancy and postpartum experience. The all-afternoon event will feature workshops, Mommy and Me yoga and belly dancing classes guided by Harlem Yoga Studio, and additional resources provided by tabling organizations. The NYC Health Department will close the event by raffling off a limited supply of Pack-n-Plays. On-site translation and interpretation services in Spanish and Haitian Creole will be provided.

The day will feature four healthy pregnancy workshops:
1:30 PM: Prenatal Nutrition & Cooking, led by Daphne Bianco, a Women’s Health Dietician at H+H/Kings County.
2:05 PM: Know Your Rights: Paid Parental Leave, Health Insurance, and More, led by Yomaha Gordon, Program Coordinator for the Caribbean Women’s Health Association.
2:40 PM: Breastfeeding, led by Paulette Porter-Clarke, RN, CLC, of H+H/Woodhull.
3:15 PM: Safe Sleep, led by Shantel Taylor Tull, Family Wellness Suite-Site Coordinator,NYC Health Department.
Current and expecting parents can enjoy safely moving in their bodies during two classes led by Nyota Nayo of the Harlem Yoga Studio. Children are welcome to participate with a parent or guardian present. Both classes are first come, first served.

2:40 – 3:40 PM: Mommy and Me Belly Dancing
Yoga mats will be provided. Attendees are welcomed to bring their own if they prefer.
