Grammy-winning icons and longtime friends Sting and Shaggy are keeping their end-of-summer tradition alive in Philadelphia. The duo once again co-hosted, curated, and headlined the “One Fine Day” music festival at The Mann in Fairmount Park, blending their unique styles into one unforgettable night.
“You got the Sting fans and the Shaggy fans, and it’s one fine day, man,” Shaggy said with a laugh. “I like that energy, and I think Philly is the perfect place to bring it all together.”

The two have been close friends for more than 20 years, and the camaraderie shines through on stage. “We are great friends, genuinely, and we want to enlarge that community—that sense of fun,” Sting explained. “I always have a good time with Shaggy. He brings the fun out in me.”
While their collaboration may have seemed unexpected at first, it has proven to be a natural fit. “Sting always says that it doesn’t make sense on paper,” Shaggy admitted. “But then when you get into it, I always say he’s the brother I never knew I needed.”
The festival thrives on that unlikely chemistry, especially when the two jump in on each other’s hits—Sting rocking along to Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me,” and Shaggy putting his spin on The Police’s “Roxanne.”
This year’s “One Fine Day” featured another star-studded lineup, including O.A.R. and more guest acts, ensuring the Philadelphia crowd got a true fusion of music, energy, and friendship.
