I am a Caribbean American woman, a first-generation child of Jamaican parents whose lives modeled excellence long before I understood the word. My story is one of faith, culture, discipline, and purpose—woven together by God’s guidance and love, coupled with the values instilled in me from childhood.

I was raised by two exceptionally hard-working parents who believed deeply in structure, character, and achievement. My mother served as a nurse in labor and delivery at Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn for approximately 26 years, dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and precision. My father built his legacy through real estate and business, demonstrating diligence, strategy, and perseverance. Together, they set an unwavering standard for their children: academic excellence, moral character, proper manners, discipline, and an uncompromising work ethic were non-negotiable.
Like many Jamaican households, expectations were clear—excellence was not an option; it was a responsibility. You did not have to become what anyone else wanted you to be, but whatever you chose to pursue, you were expected to be the best.
I was blessed to experience my formative years in both Jamaica and the United States, an opportunity that shaped my worldview early in life. From Jamaica, I absorbed a deep appreciation for nature, community, culture, resilience, ambition, and pride in heritage. From the United States, I gained exposure to possibility, innovation, and the belief that dreams can become reality. Experiencing the best of both worlds allowed me to stand firmly in my identity while learning to navigate diverse spaces with confidence and adaptability.
Jamaicans are known globally for excellence, determination, and an unshakable belief that whatever we pursue, we pursue with intention and mastery. That reputation is not accidental—it is forged through discipline, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in one’s potential. I carry that legacy with both pride and responsibility.
While culture shaped my foundation, it was God who guided my steps. My life was not devoid of trauma, obstacles, or mistakes. It was through salvation and my belief in Jesus Christ that I was set on a more meaningful path. Throughout my journey, faith has been my compass—directing my decisions, refining my character, and anchoring me through seasons of growth and trials. God taught me that true influence is not about visibility alone, but about impact. Excellence, I learned, is an act of worship when it is carried out with integrity, humility, and purpose.
I am in no way perfect, but I have long been committed to the upliftment of others. For many years, I worked on the front lines of social services in both the nonprofit and private sectors. By God’s grace, today I am an ordained minister and prophetess, a licensed New York State mental health counselor in private practice, the head of the women’s ministry in my church, an author of the book He Kept My Sanity: A Journey from Trauma to Triumph, a mother, and the wife of an Apostle.
As a woman of faith and culture, I am committed to leading with intention and serving with compassion. Whether in professional spaces or community-centered work, my goal has always been to reflect excellence while creating pathways for others to rise. I believe influence is most powerful when it empowers, uplifts, and inspires confidence in others—especially women who may question their worth or their voice.
My journey stands at the intersection of heritage and calling. I am proud of my Jamaican roots and still hold my fondest memories there, grateful for the opportunities afforded to me in America, and deeply humbled by God’s grace that continues to order my steps. Every achievement, every lesson, and every opportunity is a reminder that when faith, culture, and excellence work together, they create a life that does more than succeed—it makes a difference.
This is my testimony: in this sacred Christmas season, I celebrate Jesus Christ—the true reason for the season and the source of my success. Every step, every victory, and every lesson has been shaped by His grace. Rooted in legacy and strengthened by culture, I move forward committed to excellence, service, and influence wherever God plants me.
