Following the incident, Henry was admitted to the intensive care unit in Bangkok, where she remained in critical condition under continuous neurological monitoring. The organization noted that she is receiving round-the-clock supervision from specialist medical teams.
Miss Universe officials announced that Henry will return to Jamaica in the coming days. She will travel with a full medical escort and will be taken directly to a hospital upon arrival to continue treatment and begin her recovery.
Video footage of the fall circulated widely on social media, showing Henry modeling her evening gown before stepping backward and plunging off the stage. Additional clips appeared to show medical personnel removing her on a stretcher. She was initially transported to a hospital in Rangsit, just north of Bangkok, according to the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization.
Henry, a junior resident at the University Hospital of the West Indies, had expressed excitement about the finals on Instagram shortly before the accident. In her post, she reflected on her journey to the competition and wrote that she felt immense joy and honor representing Jamaica on the global stage.
