The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Trade has applauded four outstanding nationals — Atiya Fabian, Briana Anthony, Sharee Philip, and Senator Lamin Newton — for their remarkable academic accomplishments, which continue to bring distinction and pride to Antigua and Barbuda.
Minister E. P. Chet Greene and the Ministry’s staff commended the honourees for their unwavering dedication, discipline, and pursuit of academic excellence. The Ministry highlighted that their achievements embody the spirit of perseverance and commitment to higher learning that strengthens the nation’s human capital.

Ms. Atiya Fabian, Ms. Briana Anthony, and Senator Lamin Newton recently earned their Bachelor of Science degrees with Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus, while Ms. Sharee Philip is set to graduate with First Class Honours from Monroe University, reflecting her exceptional academic prowess and dedication.
“We are immensely proud of Ms. Fabian, Ms. Anthony, Ms. Philip, and Senator Newton for their outstanding academic achievements,” said His Excellency Dr. Clarence E. Pilgrim, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “Their success is a testament to their resilience and determination. I am confident they will continue to make meaningful contributions to our nation and the wider Caribbean community, upholding the values of excellence and service.”
The Ministry reaffirmed that education remains a cornerstone of national development and a key driver of economic growth.
