Kingston, Jamaica — Country reggae artist Wesrok is preparing to make a major statement with his debut studio album, Ride Cowboy Ride, which is set for release in the coming weeks. The project promises a unique fusion of musical styles and perspectives, featuring high-profile collaborations with dancehall stars Masicka and Busy Signal, as well as Big Mountain, the American reggae band best known for their gold-certified hit Baby I Love Your Way.
In an exclusive interview with reporters on Saturday, Wesrok confirmed that Ride Cowboy Ride will feature ten tracks, including three collaborations that span across reggae, country, and pop influences.

“Ride Cowboy Ride” will have ten songs including three collaborations. There are songs with Masicka, Busy Signal, and Big Mountain,” Wesrok shared.
Production duties on the album are handled by a diverse team, including Troyton Music, Alfonso Maldonado, and 360 Global, who together have shaped the sonic vision of the project.
Describing the album’s direction, Wesrok emphasized its lyrical and thematic depth. “It’s a straight country and reggae vibe. This album is a blend of positive messages, it’s also entertaining, and it also touches on topical issues,” he said.
The album’s first single, True Love featuring Big Mountain, was released last October and gained international traction by charting at #86 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. The accompanying music video was filmed in Ensenada, Mexico, bringing a cinematic flair to the cross-cultural collaboration.
Wesrok explained that the partnership with Big Mountain emerged organically. “The collaboration with Big Mountain came about after a friend recommended Quino, lead vocalist of the group. That’s how the song came to fruition,” he said.
In preparation for the album, Wesrok also embarked on a fact-finding mission across Europe, visiting Spain, Italy, France, and Malta to gather inspiration, explore cultural influences, and enrich the creative process.
“The experience in Europe added more value and appreciation for music lovers, and that the music of Wesrok has a place outside of Jamaica,” he noted.
As anticipation builds, a new single from Ride Cowboy Ride is scheduled for release within the next two weeks, offering fans a preview of the sound and storytelling they can expect from the full project.
With his genre-blending style and a growing list of heavyweight collaborators, Wesrok is poised to carve out a distinctive space in the global music landscape.
