Celebration Benefiting Hurricane Melissa Relief Efforts in Jamaica
The Miami Heat will celebrate Caribbean culture with purpose on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, as they host Caribbean Night at Kaseya Center during their matchup against the Phoenix Suns. The special evening will spotlight Caribbean pride while raising funds to support ongoing Hurricane Melissa relief efforts in Jamaica.

The evening will feature a special halftime performance by global dancehall icon Sean Paul, whose music and influence have helped bring Caribbean culture to the world stage. The celebration will also be hosted by internationally respected DJ and cultural ambassador Walshy Fire, alongside South Florida’s own DJ Kvass, with additional sounds by DJ Copper Shaun.
Caribbean Night will tip off at 7:30 PM ET (doors open at 6:30 PM ET) as the Miami Heat face off against the Phoenix Suns in an atmosphere infused with music, pride, and purpose.
At the core of the evening is the humanitarian work of the Sean Paul, which has been actively supporting Jamaican communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa, week after week along with the Sean Paul Foundation team. Through sustained on-the-ground efforts, the Foundation has assisted families with home repairs, solar panel installations for sustainable power, and the distribution of food and essential supplies, focusing not only on immediate relief, but long-term recovery and resilience.
The Foundation continues to collaborate with local leaders and international partners to ensure affected communities are supported well beyond the initial crisis, helping families rebuild safer and stronger futures.
Proceeds from Caribbean Night, including ticket sales and in-arena activations, will further support these relief initiatives in partnership with trusted humanitarian organizations Food For The Poor, Global Empowerment Mission, and Caribbean Strong Group.
Fans will be able to scan QR codes throughout the arena to purchase merchandise from the Jamaica National Basketball Team, supporting the team’s journey toward the FIBA World Cup.
