Grammy-winning singer and business mogul Rihanna has detailed the frightening moments she and her family endured during a shooting at her Beverly Hills home, as the accused suspect has formally entered a not guilty plea to multiple felony charges.
According to a police report obtained by the Los Angeles Times, the incident occurred earlier this month while Rihanna and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, were inside an Airstream trailer parked within the gated compound of the residence.

Rihanna told authorities that she “suddenly heard approximately ten loud sounds like something banging on metal,” before realizing the noises were gunshots striking the exterior of the trailer.
She said she immediately reacted, explaining that she “pulled Rocky out of bed, told him they were being shot at and pushed both of them to the ground.” After the gunfire subsided, the couple ran inside the main house to check on their children.
At the time of the shooting, several individuals were on the property, including the couple’s three children, Rihanna’s mother, two staff members and two neighbors. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported.
Police confirmed that multiple bullets struck the trailer, including impacts to the windshield and side panels, but none penetrated the structure.
Authorities have since arrested the suspect, Ivanna Ortiz, who is now in custody. She faces charges including attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling. Bail has been set at $1.8 million.
Investigators further stated that Ortiz was allegedly in possession of a legally owned rifle and high-capacity magazines at the time of the incident.
The case is expected to return to court in April as proceedings continue.
