Family Traveller has released the shortlist for its inaugural Family Traveller Awards, and the public now has the final say on who takes home the trophies.
The awards launched earlier this summer to spotlight standout names in family travel — from hotels and tour operators to cruise lines, destinations, and content creators. Hundreds of entries were submitted across 19 categories, and an independent panel of family travel journalists has spent recent weeks scoring nominees down to a final shortlist.

With judging complete, the outcome now rests with readers. Voting is open to the public across every category, and anyone who casts a ballot is automatically entered into a prize draw for a free seven-night Eurocamp holiday in 2027, covering up to two adults and four children at a European parc of the winner’s choosing.
Winners will be announced at the Family Traveller Awards ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Who Made the Shortlist
The finalists span seven broad groupings: hotels and villas, tour operators and agents, cruise, destinations, and industry honors covering accessibility, content, and sustainability.
Hotels and villas dominate the category count, with separate awards for family activities and entertainment, short-haul and long-haul stays, kids’ clubs, food and beverage, teen travel, and early years travel. Properties like Costa Navarino, Grande Lakes Orlando, and the Maldives’ JOALI and OUTRIGGER Maafushivaru resorts appear across multiple lists, while UK contenders such as Lucknam Park and The Lakes by YOO represent the short-haul field.
In the destinations categories, Japan picked up nods in both Cultural and Adventure Family Destination, while Grenada appears twice — shortlisted for Cultural Family Destination alongside Louisiana, Malta, and Guatemala, and again for Beach and Sun Family Destination alongside the Algarve, Barbados, and the Bahamas. Emerging Family Destination finalists include Oman, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and St Helena — a sign the panel was willing to look beyond the usual family-holiday map.
Cruise is a tighter field, with Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, P&O Cruises, and National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions competing for Best Family Cruise.
The industry categories round things out, recognizing accessibility efforts, sustainability initiatives, and family travel content creators — including bloggers and influencers such as Mum in the City and Adventures of the Wests, alongside operators like Responsible Travel and Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve.

Voting is open now through the Family Traveller Awards voting site, and readers can vote in as many categories as they like. Ballots close ahead of the September 11 ceremony, when winners will be announced.
