2025 has been marked by profound challenges, but we’ve also had some incredible wins along the way. Despite threats to public health, science, funding, and our communities, Black Health continued to lead and champion health equity alongside our stakeholders and partners. From educating individuals and families through our Health Hubs and providing them access to health and support services through a one-stop-shop model to nurturing the minds of future healthcare professionals through our Conscientious Clinician Program and engaging with lawmakers to advance our policy priorities, Black Health reaffirmed its commitments to education, advocacy, and policy change that supports the heath of Black and Brown communities everywhere.
A Few Highlights – By the Numbers
We partnered with approximately 20 faith-based organizations (FBOs) across NYC through our HIV initiative, reaching over 6000 people through prevention, testing, and linkage services.

Through our Community Mobilization Program, we engaged another 30 FBOs around pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and launched a “PrEP-aration” campaign during PrEP Awareness Week.
We reached over 2500 people through our community-based Health Hubs, which provide a one-stop-shop model to care, mental health, and support services in a centralized location, addressing the social determinants of health and other barriers to care. Services included HIV testing, screening for Hepatitis C, diabetes, and blood pressure, and provision of safer sex kits, nutrition, and health educational materials, to name a few.
We engaged over 100 students in the health professions at Hunter College and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai through our Conscientious Clinician Program, which provides students with the skills to be able to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, bias-free care in marginalized communities.
Ninety three students attended our third annual Health Equity Summit at Lehman College, which addressed the legacy of activism in public health as a strategy to drive positive health outcomes and an improved quality of life for our communities.
We reached approximately 189 people through our RSV Webinar in the fall, in partnership with Sanofi.
