ST ANN, Jamaica — Jamaica’s acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant Stush in the Bush has earned a place among the 50 Best Restaurants in North America, securing the No. 49 spot on the prestigious list unveiled Thursday evening at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
Owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Lisa and Christopher Binns, the St Ann–based restaurant has become a culinary destination celebrated for its immersive dining experience and innovative plant-based cuisine.

This year’s top honor went to Atomix in New York City, with other leading spots including Mon Lapin and Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Canada, Smyth in Chicago, and Tanière 3, also in Canada.
Stush in the Bush has long attracted international attention for its unique blend of fine dining and rustic charm. Nestled on a 15-acre organic farm in Free Hill, St Ann, the restaurant emphasizes sustainability and local sourcing, with dishes crafted almost entirely from ingredients grown on-site. The Binns describe their approach as “a love affair between clean eating and conscious living,” bringing together Caribbean flavors with global techniques.
For Jamaica, the recognition highlights the island’s growing reputation on the global culinary map. While the country is traditionally celebrated for jerk, patties, and street food culture, Stush in the Bush has expanded perceptions of Jamaican cuisine by marrying authenticity with innovation in a fine-dining setting.
