One of Long Island’s largest celebrations of Caribbean culture is making a long-awaited return, with Caribbean Night LIset to bring together thousands of people for an evening of music, food and cultural pride at Eisenhower Park on July 17.
After an absence of more than ten years, the free, family-friendly event aims to celebrate the rich heritage and lasting contributions of Caribbean communities throughout Long Island, New York City and the wider Tri-State area. Organisers say the festival is designed to strengthen cultural connections while creating a welcoming space for families of all generations.

The event is being presented by Caribbean Connections Media in partnership with Nassau County and is spearheaded by executive producers Jennifer Rampersaud, Hanif Russell and Ray Thomas. Rampersaud said the festival is intended to honour the region’s diverse Caribbean population while inspiring younger generations to embrace their cultural roots.
Entertainment will feature performances by Grammy Award-winning reggae artist Keznamdi, dancehall star Charly Black, Guyanese singer Terry Gajraj, along with several DJs and other performers. Guests can also enjoy authentic Caribbean cuisine, local vendors, cultural exhibits and family-friendly activities showcasing traditions from across the region.
Beyond the entertainment, organisers say the festival will provide valuable exposure for Caribbean-owned businesses and community organisations while reinforcing a sense of unity among the diaspora. With free admission and an expected turnout of thousands, Caribbean Night LI is poised to become one of the region’s premier celebrations of Caribbean culture and identity.
