Wednesday 31 May marked 15 years since Usain Bolt set the world record in the 100 metres with a time of 9.72 seconds at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York. He beat fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell record by .02 seconds.
This was the start of a worldwind domination in track for the then 22-year-old.
