For the new Ultimate Soca Champion tournament, a $1 million prize has been revealed. In place of the now-defunct International Soca Monarch competition, Jerome “Rome” Precilla has announced that ten Soca artists would vie for the crown in a new event.
“Competition brings out the best in artists,” Precilla noted.

According to Precilla, Soca champions from all around the world and the area will be invited to compete for a big prize.
According to him, Power and Groovy Soca will not be separated in the tournament.
On January 25, 2025, the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts will open for auditions. Precilla recently announced during a news conference at Queen’s Hall in St. Ann’s.
Due to insufficient attendance and a lack of finance, the International Soca Monarch (ISM) tournament was canceled in 2023 and 2024. According to Precilla, there will be a young champion and a reality show component to the Ultimate Soca Champion tournament.
According to him, the reality show element will assist the artists in expanding their fan base and provide an intimate glimpse into their path. The young champion’s debut, according to Precilla, will assist close a gap in the existing scene.
16 to 25 is the age range for the Youth Soca Champion. For the Youth Soca Champion, the top prize is $200,000.
