Pan Trinbago has confirmed that it has officially received the 2026 Steelpan Players’ Remittances, ending months of uncertainty surrounding payments to musicians who performed in this year’s Panorama competition.
In a statement shared on its official social media platforms, the organization announced that President Beverley Ramsey-Moore accepted the remittance cheques, marking a significant milestone for steelpan players who had been awaiting payment since Carnival 2026.

Photographs released by Pan Trinbago showed a ceremonial cheque valued at TT$4,785,600 being presented during the handover ceremony.
The organization noted that the funds are designated for eligible steelpan musicians who participated in the 2026 Panorama competition and represent part of the ongoing commitment to recognize and reward the performers who help preserve and promote Trinidad and Tobago’s national instrument and cultural heritage.
Earlier this year, Pan Trinbago had voiced concerns over delays in the release of the remittances, as players continued to await payment for their participation in the country’s premier steelband competition.
The handover ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture and Community Development Michelle Benjamin, National Carnival Commission (NCC) Chairman Peter Kanhai, and other NCC commissioners.
Pan Trinbago said additional information regarding the distribution of the remittance payments to eligible players will be communicated through its official channels in the coming days.
