Bob Marley’s classic “Three Little Birds” has joined Spotify’s Billions Club, marking the reggae icon’s first track to achieve this milestone.
“Three Little Birds” is renowned for its beautiful, simple optimism. The song is from Marley’s album Exodus, one of the most influential records of all time. Released on June 3, 1977, Exodus includes not only “Three Little Birds,” but also beloved hits like “Jamming” and “One Love/People Get Ready.” Time magazine has called Exodus “the best album of the 20th century.” The making of the album is prominently featured in the BET Award-winning film One Love, which hit theaters earlier this year. To celebrate the film’s release, the Marley estate issued a limited edition version of Exodus on June 7, featuring the original cover design as seen in the film. This edition also includes an exclusive 10″ LP of rare bonus tracks and an essay by Jamaican historian Herbie Miller.
