There was total agreement with the Prime Minister from those gathered at the groundbreaking event.
The Pinnacle, the US $350 million luxury residential resort in Montego Bay has redefined luxury living in Jamaica. Nestled between the sea and the lagoon on the peninsula, on a captivating nature reserve,
“The Pinnacle goes beyond Traditional residential development. It is a meticulously crafted lifestyle destination, reshaping luxury living in Jamaica. From stunning vistas to spacious residences, resort-style amenities, and personalized services. The Pinnacle represents a new era for residents. Merging Jamaica’s heritage with cosmopolitan flair, it beckons Jamaicans returning home and international guests seeking unmatched luxury in a beloved destination.
This is how Yangsen Li, CEO of LCH Development Limited described the project.
Prime Minister Holiness agrees with CEO Yangsen Li, stating the development will cement Jamaica’s brand in the lifestyle segment of the hospitality market. It will add a new dimension to our tourism and I am very happy for that because our tourism product which has carried us for at least 50 years must diversify, it must move into other segments, into other areas and make significant marks there.
Designed by renowned Jamaican architect Isiaa Madden, The Pinnacle reflects a seamless fusion of artistic brilliance and functional elegance, ensuring that every architectural detail enhances the overall living experience. The Reading Peninsula boasts lush greenery, native flora and fauna, creating a harmonious connection between residents and the natural surroundings.
The development consists of:
- Four towers, each 28 stories high, offer breathtaking ocean, lagoon and mountain vistas.
- 423 residences, available in one-, two, three-bedroom apartments and 4- and 5-bedroom penthouses cater to discerning homeowners.
- 15 private villas add an exclusive touch to personalized living.
- Dedicated concierge services, curated shopping options, and diverse restaurants, including a stunning rooftop bar, ensure convenience and culinary delight.
- A private club and spa enhance the lifestyle experience.
- Active pursuits find a haven with tennis and multi-sports courts.
- A marina, meandering river, intimate beaches, and inviting pools complete the canvas of indulgence at The Pinnacle.
The Pinnacle will be the Caribbean’s tallest building which Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlet welcomed. He said it “enables us to respond to all of the millennials because the millennials are looking for a different kind of product”.
The Minister went on to remark, “We are taking it to another dimension with this kind of density that is approaching from a 28-story building with a mix of business models which is the new model of the period as tourism tried to balance short-term to long-term residency with the important elements of supply. I think nowhere else in the Caribbean has this model.”
Minister Bartlet went on to express his appreciation saying “I want to indicate with particular delight that LCH Development has chosen Montego Bay to become the first of its incursions in the tourism industry. And what an incursion it is, providing for us something that is being called The Pinnacle, the address that we will be in the future.”
Prime Minister Holiness praised the partners of LCH Development and pledged that the government will work to provide the infrastructure to support the industry and the community to ensure maximum benefit. He referred to housing for the hospitality industry workers as a priority.
The Prime Minister for the groundbreaking approved for Jamaica in the design and development. He referred to LCH saying “You are not only breaking ground today, but you are doing something that is groundbreaking in Jamaica.”
Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals International who was at the groundbreaking event remarked that the development was “a game-changing development”. He seemed to speak for those present, it is indeed a game changer.
Towers One and Two are set to rise first, with completion anticipated in 36 months.
Construction of Towers Three and Four will commence a year later. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2028.
Yangsen Li, CEO of LCH remarked’ “We are committed to balancing this development with preservation in terms of nature. Our project isn’t just construction, it is a promise to honor and preserve the natural beauty that brought us here in the first place.”
