The Issa Trust Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Couples Resorts, operators of premium 5 star all inclusive beach resorts in Jamaica. Established in 2005, the foundation is a U.S. based non-profit organization with focus on education and pediatric care for children in Jamaica. To date, the Issa Trust Foundation has contributed over US$40M towards the development of child and adolescent health care in Jamaica.
Since its inception, the foundation has been instrumental in reducing child mortality rates, thanks to partnerships with organizations like Direct Relief and the National Health Fund.

Our Neonatal Intensive Care model has saved countless lives, providing ventilators, diagnostic equipment, and crucial training for medical professionals. This initiative has been a game-changer for newborns and neonates, ensuring they receive the specialized care they deserve.
Additionally, the Foundation has been instrumental in pediatric and neonatal education for doctors and nurses island-wide in Jamaica.
Since 2016, through a partnership with the Michigan Lions Club, we have provided over 10,000 eye exams and free glasses to children in Jamaica.
These initiatives are just a part of what we do on an ongoing basis. As we continue to empower young lives through easy access to health care, we boldly step into the future by embracing a big dream- to open the doors of a state-of-the-art facility to fill critical health care gaps in the northern parishes of St. Mary & St. Ann. The operation will be called Mary Issa Pediatric and Adolescent Health Center and it will provide comprehensive primary care in addition to offering specialty clinics in cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, mental health, oncology, and vision.
