Taiwan is providing EC$7 million (approximately USD$ 2.6 million) to St. Lucia to support various community development initiatives across the island.
According to a government statement, EC$5 million will fund the Small Infrastructure Projects Initiative, managed by the St. Lucia Social Development Fund (SSDF). The initiative will enhance daily life by building or rehabilitating community roads, footpaths, drains, dwellings, and bridges in all 17 constituencies. It is expected to create over 700 jobs and contribute to economic activity and skills development.
