While citing “multiple reasons beyond her control” for her decision, she did not specifically say why she opted out of the popular event. Her statement ended with a heartfelt message to fans, declaring her love for them and reaffirming her title as the “Queen of Dancehall.”
Groovin’ In The Park is set to return after a five-year hiatus on June 25 at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York, and aims to deliver a strong dancehall experience for its audience. Promoter Chris Roberts had described Spice’s inclusion to the lineup as a “big, big deal.” The event will feature renowned artists Marion Hall, Tarrus Riley, Cham, Wayne Wonder, Frisco Kid, and soul singer Charlie “Uncle Charlie” Wilson.
