Following his performance at Sunday night’s BET Awards, Dancehall artist Skillibeng has achieved his first gold-certified single with “Jump,” a collaboration featuring South African singer Tyla and American rapper Gunna.
“Jump,” which appears on Tyla’s self-titled debut album, received its gold certification from Music Canada on July 2 for surpassing 40,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents in Canada.

The collaboration came about when Tyla, during her visit to Jamaica in October 2023, felt the song needed a Jamaican touch. She reached out to her team, who then contacted Skillibeng to feature on the track.
“Jump” has been performing well on various global charts, including the UK Singles Chart, and charts in Greece, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Nigeria, and Switzerland. It peaked at #87 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
Currently, “Jump” is making waves on multiple Billboard charts. It has re-entered the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #46 and climbed to #9 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. On the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, it has moved from #33 to #37, and on the Hot R&B Songs chart, it has slightly dropped from #7 to #8. Additionally, “Jump” has improved its position on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart from #29 to #28, and it remains steady at #19 on the Rhythmic Top 40 Airplay chart.
