A dazzling suite of high jewelry designed by Barbadian icon Rihanna is set to take center stage at Sotheby’s High Jewellery Sale in Geneva, bringing renewed attention to one of the star’s most memorable forays into the world of fine jewelry design.
The colorful collection, created in partnership with renowned Swiss jeweler Chopard, will be offered at auction on May 12, 2026, just as the 2026 Cannes Film Festival gets underway.

Originally unveiled by Rihanna on the Cannes red carpet in 2017, the limited-edition “Rihanna Loves Chopard” collection was inspired by her Barbadian roots and the vibrant spirit of Caribbean Carnival. The designs fused bold color, precious gemstones, and ethical craftsmanship to create pieces that were both luxurious and deeply personal.
The highlight of the auction, listed as Lot 588, is an extraordinary demi-parure centered around a dramatic bib-style necklace set with tsavorite and spessartite garnets, pink and yellow sapphires, blue topaz, turquoise, and brilliant-cut diamonds. The necklace is estimated to fetch between US$260,000 and US$380,000.
A matching pair of earrings accompanies the necklace, while a coordinating bracelet is being offered separately in the same sale.
At the launch of the collection, Rihanna described the collaboration as a dream realized.
“I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewelry,” she said. “So to actually design a collection with them is something I still cannot believe.”
Rihanna also insisted that the pieces be crafted exclusively in Fairmined gold, underscoring her commitment to ethical sourcing and responsible luxury. Each item in the limited-edition collection was individually signed, numbered, and engraved with the symbol “R ❤️ C.”
The jewels made their debut during a glamorous Cannes event where Rihanna paired them with a flowing pale blue gown by Dior. The launch coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival and the 20th anniversary of Chopard’s official partnership with the prestigious event.
Although Rihanna’s creations are among the most talked-about pieces in the sale, they are part of a broader collection featuring some of the world’s most exceptional gemstones.
Among the headline lots is a rare 6.03-carat fancy vivid blue internally flawless diamond from South Africa’s legendary Cullinan Mine, estimated at between US$9 million and US$12 million.
The auction will also feature Colombian emeralds, Ceylon sapphires, Burmese rubies, and signed creations from iconic jewelry houses including Cartier, Bvlgari, and Boucheron.
A portion of the proceeds from select lots will support the Peace Parks Foundation, the conservation organization co-founded by Nelson Mandela to protect critical ecosystems and wildlife across Africa.
Nearly a decade after its debut, Rihanna’s Chopard collaboration remains a striking example of how Caribbean creativity can shape the highest levels of global luxury. By blending bold design, ethical values, and cultural pride, the collection continues to resonate as both a fashion statement and a celebration of her heritage.
