Legendary Jamaican reggae musician Luciano has lauded Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy for his stellar performance at the 2024 Reggae Geel Festival in Belgium. Stonebwoy, who recently won the Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2024 Artiste of the Year, made a triumphant return to one of Europe’s largest reggae stages on August 3rd, eight years after his debut in 2016.
Performing in front of over 50,000 fans at Geel’s Belse Bossen, Stonebwoy delivered an energetic set that showcased his biggest hits. His hour-long performance included fan favorites like “Run Go,” “Ekelebe,” “Shuga,” “Everlasting,” “Into The Future,” “Your Body,” “Hero,” and “Activate.” This dynamic set reaffirmed his status as one of the leading voices in the African reggae scene.

Stonebwoy’s stage presence was marked by calm confidence and elegance. He wore a custom-designed outfit featuring reflective materials, detachable zippers, and stone embellishments, complemented by four dancers in matching outfits with flowing sleeves. Vibrant animations of lions, cowries, and a stone head with a lightning eye added a visual flair to his performance.
After his commanding set, Luciano expressed his admiration for Stonebwoy’s dedication to dancehall culture and expressed interest in a collaboration. “You are hardworking. I love your work, I want us to work on a collaboration,” the legendary reggae artist said.
