Attorney General of New York State Letitia James recently stated that if Donald Trump is unable to come up with the $355 million required to pay down the penalties from his fraud trial, she is ready to confiscate his assets, including his towers.
“If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,” James told ABC News.

The former Republican president and front-runner for his party’s presidential nomination, Trump, was ordered to pay the fine last week by a New York judge who found that he had engaged in repeated and persistent fraud, inflating his net worth by as much as $3.6 billion annually in order to get better loan terms.
Trump is contesting the punishment and disputes any misconduct. James is an elected Democrat, and he has accused him of prejudice.
Trump’s argument that the actions in the case did not result in any real victims may be the main focus of his appeal of the ruling.
However, James stated to ABC that she is certain of the soundness of her argument, “financial frauds are not victimless crimes.”
“He engaged in this massive amount of fraud. It wasn’t just a simple mistake, a slight oversight, the variations are wildly exaggerated, and the extent of the fraud was staggering,” James noted.
