August 7 was a vibe on social media. The fallout from the Montgomery brawl took over the media waves and it was fantastic. The memes kept coming throughout the day, the recaps, voiceovers, everyone who was anyone had something to say, and Sheryl lee Ralph was in on it.
So, the white folding chair, which must cost a fortune now, is the real star of the brawl and Ralph confirmed it in her Twitter post on August 8. See below.

The Emmy-winning Abbott Elementary actor responded to the altercation with, “I have one thing to say,” then burst into song with – “Lift every chair and swing,” to the tune of the Black national anthem.
To bring you up to speed, there was a river brawl at Riverfront Park on August 5 in Montgomery, Alabama.
To keep it brief, a group of white private boaters attacked a Black dockworker, Damien Pickett, as he tried to move their pontoon to accommodate the Harriott II Riverboat. More than 200 passengers on the riverboat waited for about a half hour as the captain and Pickett tried to get the boaters to move their vessel.
Several Black men came to the aid of Pickett and it seemed like an Avengers movie with the actors split along racial lines.
Videos of the fight went viral following the incident.
During the fight one Black man picked up a white folding chair and started beating on white men and women. That white chair is now the source of every conversation this week.
Police ultimately detained, questioned and released 13 people, the police chief said, adding that local FBI and district attorney’s offices are part of the ongoing investigation.
The memes continue!
