Lionel Messi and Inter-Miami FC are set to travel to Jamaica for a Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 clash against Cavalier FC, following their dominant 4-1 aggregate victory over Sporting Kansas City in the first round.
The MLS side secured their spot with a 3-1 win at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, adding to their 1-0 first-leg triumph in Kansas City the week before. Messi opened the scoring in the 19th minute, with Tadeo Allende and Luis Suárez netting crucial goals just before halftime to seal the victory.

Cavalier FC, who earned a bye to the Round of 16 after winning the Concacaf Caribbean Cup in December, will begin their campaign with an away match in Florida on March 6. The return leg will take place at Sabina Park on March 13, as Jamaica’s National Stadium remains unavailable due to ongoing track repairs.
This marks Cavalier FC’s second consecutive appearance in the Champions Cup, as the Jamaican Premier League champions continue to establish themselves on the regional stage.
