The competition’s winner will earn US$1,500.00 in cash, and the winning logo will be featured on all official paperwork and anniversary-related promotional products for the Community.
Participants must electronically send their drawings and submission forms to [email protected] by Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
People can access the Caricom website at https://caricom.org to learn more and to view the rules of the competition.
According to a media handout from the Secretariat, the competition seeks to educate citizens about Caricom’s contributions to regional integration over the past 50 years and its significance.
According to the handout, “The competition aims to raise interest and actively engage nationals in the celebration of the Community’s anniversary in a manner that encourages creativity, innovation, and learning while fostering and infusing the Caricom identity and spirit of Community and unity.”
The theme of the logo should depict any picture “that distinctively expresses the Caricom identity and character and represents the daily experiences of a national of the Community,” it was further stated.
20 nations make up the Caricom alliance, which was founded on August 1, 1973, by the Treaty of Chaguaramas. There are 15 Member States and 5 Associate Members.
