Following the passing of his wife in Portland Cottage, Clarendon, in May, a 28-year-old man has been accused of murder.
Fisherman Rory Palmer of Portland Cottage in the parish has been charged.

Jaeda Whitehead, age 28, a resident of Sharers Heights, Portland Cottage, and Mars, Toronto, Canada, has passed away.
Palmer and his wife reportedly got into a violent argument at around 4:00 pm on May 12 according to reports from the Lionel Town police.
According to reports, Palmer beat her in the face with a fan before repeatedly slamming her head against a wall.
The police were called, and when they showed up, they discovered Whitehead unconscious in bed.
She was brought to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
After being detained, Palmer was first charged with assault resulting in serious bodily harm.
His accusation was raised to murder, according to the police, after a thorough investigation and discussions with staff from the Crime Office and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
In order to commemorate their wedding anniversary, Whitehead, a Toronto school board employee, allegedly traveled to Palmer.
