António Guterres, the UN secretary general, is expected to travel to Jamaica on May 14, to May 15.
Jamaica’s prime minister, Andrew Holness, will meet with Guterres on his visit.

The UN reports that a wide variety of topics, including the effects of the Caribbean climate crisis and the impending High-Level talks on the mid-term review of the global framework for disaster risk reduction, are likely to be covered.
In addition, they’ll talk about how to include Jamaica’s government and the rest of the world in attempts to change the world financial system as well as the situation in Haiti.
Together with Canada, Jamaica serves as co-chair of the Group of Friends on SDG Financing.
After their meeting, Guterres and Holness will conduct a joint press conference.
