WASHINGTON, D.C. — United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended congratulations to Dr. Andrew Holness on his re-election as Prime Minister of Jamaica and pledged to deepen bilateral cooperation.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Piggott of the U.S. Department of State said Secretary Rubio spoke with Holness on Sunday to reaffirm Washington’s commitment to Kingston.

According to the release, Rubio thanked Holness for Jamaica’s leadership in promoting regional stability and highlighted the country’s role as a key partner in the fight against transnational organized crime.
Both leaders expressed their intention to continue collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing security and advancing shared priorities across the hemisphere.
