Data published on the U.S. State Department website under the Bureau of Consular Affairs shows that Jamaica holds the No. 1 position for visa refusal among the English-speaking countries of the Caribbean.
Jamaica is ranked high on the list of countries, especially in the Caribbean and Central American areas with a visa rejection rate of 30.04%.
According to the ranking, Cuba ranked No. 1 with 56.51% and Haiti with 47.12% in the overall Caribbean rankings. Jamaica ranks 6th among its Central American neighbors, behind Nicaragua at 50.81%.

The via category for this report primarily regards non-immigrant B-Visas. Visitor visas are nonimmigrant visas for persons who want to enter the United States temporarily for business (visa category B-1), for tourism (visa category B-2), or for a combination of both purposes (B-1/B-2).
The report shows that over 9.5 million non-immigrant credentials were issued in 2017, and more than 550,000 immigrant visas. However, those numbers have increased exponentially from 2.7 million in 2021 to over 6.8 million in 2022.
