The destination added two further honors on Monday at the World MICE/Cruise/Travel Tech Awards, where Jamaica was named Caribbean’s Best MICE Destination and Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination.
Jamaica’s success continued on Wednesday at the World Culinary Awards, where Jamaica was named Caribbean’s Best Culinary Destination.
The success of Jamaica’s destination brand was further reflected in the strong performance of its tourism partners throughout World Travel Week Jamaica. Several Jamaican businesses and tourism stakeholders were recognized among the Caribbean’s best, including Half Moon, named Caribbean’s Leading Hotel; GO! Jamaica Travel, named Caribbean’s Leading Travel Agency; Sangster International Airport, named Caribbean’s Leading Airport; Rose Hall Great House Tour, named Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Attraction; and Club MoBay, named Caribbean’s Leading Airport Lounge.
Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Edmund Bartlett, said the recognition reflects the continued investment in Jamaica’s tourism product and the strength of the partnerships supporting the industry.
“These World Travel Awards reflect the strength, diversity and resilience of Jamaica’s tourism sector. They recognize not only the excellence of our hotels, attractions and tourism partners, but also the people whose commitment to service continues to shape the visitor experience. As we continue to expand our tourism offerings and strengthen our resilience, these accolades reinforce the value of maintaining high standards while ensuring that tourism continues to deliver meaningful opportunities for our people and communities,” Minister Bartlett said.
Director of Tourism, Donovan White, said the awards reinforce Jamaica’s position as one of the Caribbean’s most diverse and competitive tourism destinations.
“Jamaica’s success across these 10 categories speaks to the strength of our destination brand and the diversity of experiences available to our visitors. We are particularly proud that so many of our tourism partners also shone during World Travel Week. Their recognition across accommodation, attractions, travel services and aviation demonstrates the depth of talent and excellence within our tourism industry. These awards belong not only to the Jamaica Tourist Board, but to our tourism partners and workers across the island who continue to deliver the Jamaica experience every day,” White said.
The 2026 recognition builds on Jamaica’s strong record at the World Travel Awards. In 2025, Jamaica was named Caribbean’s Leading Destination, Caribbean’s Leading Family Travel Destination and Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board, while also securing the title of World’s Leading Family Travel Destination.
The latest honors further reinforce Jamaica’s position as a diverse and competitive tourism destination, while highlighting the strength of its tourism partnerships and the island’s ability to deliver experiences that resonate with visitors across multiple market segments.
