The Canadian media reports that members of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s close family will go with him.

Trudeau will ” “remain in constant contact with Ottawa during the trip, and continue to be briefed and updated on issues,” the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Canada told the public, according to reports.
This is evidence that Jamaica will be one of the top destinations for winter travelers in 2022–2023 for a large number of tourists, particularly those looking to escape the arctic weather in the United States and Canada.
The island’s 2022–2023 winter travel season is off to its best start ever, according to the tourism ministry, which recently announced that the country recorded more than 40,000 visitors in the first week since it began on December 15 and that more than 11,000 stopover travelers arrived in the tourist hotspot of Montego Bay on December 17.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett declared in a statement that the beginning of the winter travel season for 2022–2023 is the strongest in Jamaican history.
“We were able to welcome, over the weekend, from December 15 to 18, a total of 42,000 visitors. That includes 37,000 stopovers and 5,000 cruise visitors.
“Over 11,000 stopover visitors traveled to Montego Bay on Saturday, on some 61 flights. This is a record for the sector, and further underscores the robust post-pandemic recovery that the tourism industry continues to enjoy,” he noted.
Bartlett and his colleagues are certain that the tourist industry has successfully rebounded.
“We are equally satisfied that the market is responding strongly to Jamaica. The forward bookings for the rest of the season are equally strong.
“We know that the market understands Jamaica, and we know that the market appreciates the quality of the product and the excellence of the experience that we offer,” he remarked.
