New York, NY – The Irie Jam Foundation has officially launched, building on Irie Jam Radio’s 32-year legacy of trusted media service. The foundation is dedicated to empowering the Caribbean diaspora through education, cultural preservation, and grassroots engagement.
The launch took place during the inaugural Purpose Talks Series: Cultivating Community Wellness, held on May 15 at the Hyatt Regency, Resorts World NYC. Honored at the event was Trishia Bermudez, founder of Perfect Piece of the Puzzle, for her advocacy for neurodivergent and autism communities.

The event featured a powerful panel discussion on mental wellness and community healing, including:
- Rev. Dr. Cathleen Williams, Esq., RN, PhD
- Dr. Ianthe Dunn-Murad, Clinical Audiologist
- Zahira Martin, Wellness Coach
- Christopher Williams, CEO of Heart, Body, and Soul
As part of its ongoing commitment, the foundation has adopted Christ Lutheran School in Queens, NY, providing cultural enrichment, mentorship, and family engagement opportunities to underserved populations.
“We’re proud to extend Irie Jam’s legacy into direct community action,” said Bobby Clarke, Foundation Co-Chair. “This is just the beginning,” added Syntyche Clarke, Co-Chair. “We’re building a lasting platform for culture, connection, and empowerment.”
The Foundation will also host themed events at Resorts World NYC to promote wellness and civic engagement.
