Raphael (Bunny) Lloyd Roper, 12/3/39 – 11/14/22, was well known and loved in every circle he navigated from his early altar boy days in Jamaica, as Air Jamaica’s chief representative at JFK, Grand Master for the Loyal Azariah Mechanics Lodge, to his decades-long involvement with his church in Long Island until he took sick.
He was very active in his community and very much relished being of service.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia, and his children Nadine, Georgette, Nicolette, Shushanna, and Andre, as well as grandchildren Rayven, Matthew, and Zachary and a slew of nieces and nephews. His mother Vera, father Herbert, sister Dorothy, and eldest daughter Kaye pre-deceased him.
Bunny, as he was fondly called, is going to be sorely missed by all his family and extended family, friends, and associates.
Funeral arrangements for the celebration of his life will be on December 3 at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 319 Front Street in Hempstead, NY. Viewing will be from 9-10 am with service to follow and burial immediately after.
