NEW YORK, NY — At just 15 years old, Isaiah Rowley is not only making waves on the golf course, but also in the hearts of communities he touches—especially those rooted in the Caribbean.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago and currently based in Orlando, Florida, Rowley is a standout junior golfer with an impressive 1.3 handicap. He trains at the prestigious International Junior Golf Academy under the mentorship of Coach Hugh Royer III, and has already secured several tournament victories—including two hole-in-ones.
But Isaiah’s mission extends well beyond competition.
A Young Leader With a Vision
During a recent trip to Brooklyn, New York—his first-ever visit to the tri-state area—Isaiah led a free youth golf clinic at Paerdegat Park, introducing the sport to dozens of local children. The event, held in partnership with Big O & Friends as part of their annual 80s/90s Reunion, received strong community support from All Access Golf and several other local partners.
“Even though this was my first time in New York, I know it’s home to many people with Caribbean roots, just like me,” said Isaiah. “I wanted to give back and raise awareness that golf is a space where they belong too.”
This initiative is part of a growing movement branded “He Is Isaiah Rowley”—a campaign focused on representation, youth empowerment, and creating pathways into golf for communities historically underrepresented in the sport.
Celebrated by the Community
While in New York, Isaiah was recognized by the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) for his leadership and community engagement. Welcomed by Dr. Jean G. Joseph, Isaiah was introduced to a network of local business leaders and cultural advocates committed to uplifting Caribbean youth.
High-Profile Appearances
Isaiah’s visit also included appearances at two major golf events:
- On Monday, July 14, he played in the Westchester Community Health Center Golf Outing at Metropolis Country Club, thanks to a special invitation from George A. Hulse, Vice President of EmblemHealth. CEO Judith Watson personally welcomed Isaiah, making the experience especially memorable.
- The following day, he participated in the Kool Kids Foundation Golf Tournament at Cedar Hill Country Club, hosted by music icon Robert “Kool” Bell, co-founder of Kool & the Gang. Isaiah’s participation was made possible by Super Bowl MVP O.J. Anderson, a long-time supporter of youth mentorship initiatives.
Beyond the Greens
Though his athletic talent is undeniable, what sets Isaiah apart is his unwavering dedication to giving back and inspiring future generations.
As he continues to compete on the national stage and prepare for collegiate-level play, Isaiah remains focused on his broader mission: to change the face of youth golf and prove that Caribbean talent belongs on every fairway.
“His journey is not just about success in golf,” said one supporter. “It’s about creating space, breaking barriers, and leading with heart.”
