In a video that has now become widely popular, a school employee was seen with a cutlass.
The Ruimveldt Police Station was notified of the incident. The teacher’s release was arranged by lawyer Darren Wade.
After being released from police arrest, the teacher complained to local media that “this has become the new COVID” and expressed her desire to improve relationships between parents, students, and instructors in order for educators to focus on what they are paid to do, which is educate the people under their care.
The female instructor claimed that she had been assaulted.
In a Facebook post, the Union stated: “It’s a total shame to see that a female teacher has to go to an extreme to defend herself at her place of work. The same place where teachers are expected to educate and keep learners safe, they themselves are unsafe.”
On her Facebook page, Education Minister Priya Manickchand wrote: “In every altercation between a teacher and parent/s, a child will be affected. Remember that. And dial down all the talks of violence and hostility.”
