President Irfaan Ali recently spoke to the media on several urgent Caribbean issues and emphasized the value of Guyana’s relationship with the United States, as he prepares for a crucial meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
President Ali emphasized the significance of making sure that international partners, like the United Nations, fulfill their obligations to help the region while discussing the results of a virtual CARICOM summit held on March 21st in advance of the Rubio visit.

During a sod-turning ceremony for the Campbellville Health Center, he stated, “It was a very important session yesterday, as you know, the region is dealing with a number of challenges… The primary objective remains getting to an election in key areas, addressing humanitarian concerns, and tackling security issues.”
