Jamaican businessman Dr. David Panton has embarked on a new chapter, marrying Heather Fischer, a dedicated human rights advocate and former White House official from Donald Trump’s administration.
Dr. Panton and his wife exchanged vows in Negril, Jamaica, on April 16. The next day, he shared a photo on social media captioned, “She said, ‘I do!'” The post garnered hundreds of congratulatory comments.

On social media, one person stated, “It is good to leave the past behind and to press forward with positive energy. Bless the Spirit!”
Former Jamaican Labor Party senator Dr. Panton, once married to Lisa Hanna, Miss World 1993, has two sons: Alexander (2001) and Ailan (2006) with Wendy Fitzwilliam, Miss Universe (1998). A Princeton graduate at 20, he also served as one of two Black presidents of the Harvard Law Review.
Barack Obama was the other. He is also one of the co-founders of Generation 2000 and one of Oxford University’s youngest PhD recipients.
Heather Fischer, his beautiful bride, is a graduate of Liberty University. She presently works as a brand ambassador and member of the senior leadership team at Thomson Reuters Special Services, where she provides advice on the nexus between national security and human rights.
Fischer was chosen as a 2023 USA Fellow by the Eisenhower Fellowship, allowing her to spend the summer researching forced labor in Malaysia and Thailand.
