Grenada, home to the Port Louis Marina operated by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, has been named ’Yachting Destination of the Year’ in the Caribbean Travel Awards 2023.
The award also included mention of Grenada’s two small islands, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, with Port Louis Marina receiving particular mention in the judge’s assessment.

“Grenada has quietly become an in-demand yachting hotspot in recent years, both for the tri-island state (including nearby Carriacou and Peitte Martinique) and for its place as an easy-to-reach hub for exploring the wonders of the islands of the Grenadines. The Moorings is here, too,” said the judges.
Antigua, another leading yachting centre in the Caribbean, was named ‘Luxury Destination of the Year’. The judges said: “From the helicopters bringing celebrities to beach lunches at Nobu Barbuda to the growing portfolio of world class resorts in Antigua, this twin-island destination continues to grow as the essence of the upscale, elegant Caribbean hideaway.”
The two islands boast a number of key yachting centres with quality marinas and boat maintenance, repair and servicing facilities. The Antiqua and Barbuda Tourism Authority was named ‘Caribbean Tourist Board of the Year’.
Additionally, St Kitts was chosen as the ‘Caribbean Destination of the Year’. This island includes the leading Christophe Harbour marina facility which boosted its role as a regional yachting centre.
