Rapper Milano, a Grammy-winning producer and songwriter, proposed onstage at a Howard University homecoming celebration on October 18. The 36-year-old rapper, who now goes by her real name Angela White, answered “yes”.
The video shows Milano, 30, serenading the rapper with Mario’s “Let Me Love You” on stage at Howard’s annual Yardfest performance in White’s hometown of Washington, D.C.

At a homecoming celebration held on October 18, 2024, Derrick Milano makes a proposal to Blac Chyna.
Milano was secretly given a ring box halfway through the love ballad, which he concealed behind his back before proposing.
Milano, whose actual name is Derrick Gray, rambled, “Baby you should let me love you, love you, love you,” as the music stopped and he took out the ring box.
Following an indiscernible conversation, White smiled and appeared to dab a tear from her eye.
Later, the producer uploaded a video of the proposal on Instagram along with two more films that demonstrate why he picked the song “Let Me Love You” for the romantic moment: one shows him singing the song 13 years ago, and the other shows him and White having a sweet moment while it was playing in the background.
Milano sent a heartfelt message to his fiancée in the caption, starting with the words, “She said YES. ????????????.”
Milano continued, “Angela Renee White, I can go on and on about how much you mean the world to me & never get tired of it,” he wrote. “I’ve found so much peace since we’ve met. & GOD put us in each other’s lives for a reason & for a purpose. Every day with you feels everlasting & it is such a blessing to call you my fiancée. I love you so much!”
“Thank you for letting me love you. & thank you for loving me equally,” he expressed. “This is what it’s all about ????.”
Dating since May 2023, White and Milano—who have co-written songs including Beyoncé’s “Savage Remix” and Megan Thee Stallion—have a history together.
A few months after they announced their love on Instagram in September 2023, they subsequently revealed in a statement to a well-known magazine, “You won’t be able to say power couple without mentioning Angela White & Derrick Gray!”
This marks a new chapter for the power couple and fans are happy to see it.
