Beenie Man, a renowned dancehall performer, says he is offended by remarks made by his daughter, Desha Davis, who claims her father has not provided her with enough money after a home gift issue earlier this year.
The disclosure was made by Beenie Man, whose real name is Moses Anthony Davis, in an interview with The Breakfast Club on Monday in support of his forthcoming “King of the Dancehall” Tour.

“Sometimes the people that you think aren’t gonna do certain things, they’re the ones that surprise you,” the “Romi” DJ stated.
In February, after a disagreement over a housing gift, Desha took to social media to denounce her father. The dancer, better known as Desha Ravers, then addressed an Instagram live audience and revealed that her father had offered her a house but had later withdrawn the offer once she began expressing real interest.
She previously stated, “It’s so heartbreaking that it has to come to this, but obviously me and him, we nah go have no ties.” She further mentioned, “Because me feel like over the years mi go through so much and mi endure so much and mi stay quiet and everybody feel like him a this good fada, and him always a take care of his pickney dem.”
“Paying school fee is not being a father, and that is all you’ve done for your kids,” she continued.
Beenie Man said, “Yeah of course,” in response to inquiries about whether the social media debate had wounded his feelings on The Breakfast Club.
“Only your own kid can make you feel a certain way,” he explained. “When you dedicate your life to take care of a person and the person dedicates their life to bringing you down, you’re gonna be hurt.”
“Yes, she did hurt some feelings but I move on and I get over that,” he continued.
Beenie Man said, “She’s good,” when asked if he and his daughter are now on good terms. “ She’s a thirty-odd-year-old woman so she knows the balance of herself.”
“It’s always one thing or the other. Someone asks for one thing and didn’t get it at the time that they want it and just take it out on you but yours is yours and you work for yours so all you have to do it be humble, mild it down and know that’s your daughter,” he noted.
In addition, the Dancehall icon stated, “She speaks foul things and things that she’s not supposed to speak and those are all lies. It’s not true.”
The artist used humor to lighten the tone of the discussion, saying, “It’s not like she burst any secrets. The only secret she burst was talking about my Maserati when I didn’t want anyone to know I’m gonna bring it to Jamaica.”
