Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez has stressed the need for privacy for the well-known guest and his spouse while on holiday, while the world’s highest sailing boat, the Koru, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, adorns Falmouth Harbor.
Minister Fernandez acknowledged the excitement around the arrival of the superyacht worth US$500 million, which features three imposing masts, “We extend a warm welcome to Mr. Jeff Bezos and his wife as they enjoy their vacation in our beautiful twin island nation.“

He added, “The allure of the Koru is undeniable, but we kindly ask for everyone’s understanding and utmost respect for their privacy during this special time.”
Dykstra Naval Architects designed the outside of the vessel, while Mlinaric, Henry, and Zervudachi designed the inside. The Koru, which was finished early this year by the Dutch company Oceanco, is a wonder of contemporary engineering and design.

In addition to having a swimming pool and three Jacuzzis, her deck spans more than 400 feet.
The yacht’s interior design perfectly blends natural wood tones with warm neutrals and beautifully patterned linens, creating an elegant and modern blend.
Fernandez went on to say that every effort is being made to make sure the distinguished visitors have a good time.
Residents, visitors, and the media are urged to use caution as the holiday season progresses so that Bezos and his companions can enjoy their vacation without interference.
