Haitian criminal leader and former police officer, Jimmy Chérizier aka Barbecue warned on warned Wednesday that he would fight any international armed force deployed to the Caribbean country if it committed any abuses.
He is the head of Fòs Revolisyonè G9 an fanmi e alye (“Revolutionary Forces of the G9 Family and Allies”, encouraging Haitians to rise up against he government, and added that he would welcome any foreign security entity if they would arrest current Prime Minister Ariel Henry.

Speaking to nearly two dozen journalists at an outdoors construction site in Port-au-Prince, Chérizier said, If the foreign force comes to help and provide security for life to start over again, we will also applaud.” He is currently considered one of, if not the, most powerful gang leaders in Haiti.
He accused previous UN peacekeepers of committing sexual abuses and inadvertently introducing cholera into water sources. He promised Haitians would rise up if any international force repeated these actions.
The G9 has allegedly been responsible for numerous massacres of civilians in Haiti, including the 24–27 May 2020 massacre across various neighborhoods across Port-au-Prince that killed 6 to 34 people, the August–September 2020 massacre that left 22 dead, and the April 2021 massacre that resulted from an attempted takeover of Bel Air in Port-au-Prince.
Chérizier is currently under UN sanctions.
