Jamaican dancehall artiste Shenseea is preparing to release a new eight-track extended play (EP), titled Catalyst, on Friday, November 6, featuring collaborations with dancehall veteran Vybz Kartel, Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake and American rapper Loe Shimmy.
The singer announced the project on social media on Monday, November 2, sharing its title, cover artwork and tracklist with fans. The release will mark her first major project since her Grammy-nominated sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here, which arrived in May 2024.

The EP’s tracklist includes “Playtime” featuring Asake, “Talk To Me Nuh” featuring Vybz Kartel and “Private” featuring Loe Shimmy. The remaining songs are “Vulnerability,” “Danger,” “Garden,” “Body Language” and “2 Face Gyal.”
The collaboration with Kartel is particularly notable, as the two Jamaican artistes previously worked together on the 2016 hit “Loodi.” They also reunited earlier this year on “Talk To Me Nuh,” produced by Rvssian, which will appear on the upcoming project.
Asake’s contribution brings a connection between Jamaican dancehall and Nigerian Afrobeats, while Loe Shimmy adds an American hip-hop influence to the collection.
“Vulnerability,” released as a single in September, has already introduced listeners to one of the tracks on the EP. Shenseea has also teased “Garden” ahead of the project’s release.
Catalyst follows Shenseea’s 2022 debut album, ALPHA, and her 2024 sophomore project, Never Gets Late Here. The latter earned a nomination for Best Reggae Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
The upcoming EP will also be her first major project under Since ’93 and Columbia Records, following her signing with the labels in 2025.
With its combination of solo recordings and international collaborations, Catalyst continues Shenseea’s exploration of dancehall, Afrobeats and contemporary hip-hop sounds.
