Antigua and Barbuda is preparing to welcome technology entrepreneur Elon Musk to the country for the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), although his attendance has not yet been confirmed.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne said SpaceX, the aerospace and technology company founded by Musk, is expected to become a major sponsor of the Commonwealth Business Forum, which will be held alongside CHOGM in November. Browne said the government is close to finalising a partnership with SpaceX.

According to Browne, Musk has indicated that he is available to participate in the event, prompting hopes that he will travel to Antigua and Barbuda. However, the Prime Minister stopped short of confirming that Musk will attend.
Antigua and Barbuda will host CHOGM from November 1–4, bringing together leaders and representatives from the Commonwealth’s 56 member countries. The meeting will be held under the theme “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” with discussions expected to focus on areas including trade, innovation, climate resilience, equality and sustainable development.
The Commonwealth Business Forum, scheduled for November 2–4, is designed to bring governments and businesses together to strengthen trade and investment across Commonwealth countries. Browne said Antigua and Barbuda wants the gathering to produce tangible economic benefits, including new investment, capital, skills and technology, rather than simply serve as another international conference.
Browne also suggested that SpaceX could provide a Tesla Cybertruck equipped with satellite technology for use during the event. He said the vehicle could potentially be used to transport King Charles III, Head of the Commonwealth, if the necessary approval is granted.
The proposed SpaceX partnership adds a high-profile technology dimension to Antigua and Barbuda’s preparations for CHOGM, as the government seeks to use the gathering to attract investment and strengthen business relationships across the Commonwealth.
