Dr. Gabrielle Henry, who was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, has made her first public appearance since sustaining serious injuries during the Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand last November.
According to People, Henry attended the Integrity Children’s Fund Dinner en Rouge Gala in Atlanta on May 16. The Integrity Children’s Fund, founded in 2002, is dedicated to combating childhood illiteracy and supporting educational initiatives.

Although still recovering, Henry addressed attendees while seated on stage.
“Despite the prolonged recovery I have been going through, I could not miss being present to support such a remarkable event,” she said.
Henry also praised members of the Jamaican diaspora for their continued commitment to uplifting others.
“Today we recognize and celebrate the amazing efforts of our fellow brothers, members of the Jamaican diaspora who have poured out their hearts and souls into something so meaningful,” she added.
Henry suffered head trauma and other injuries after falling from the stage during the evening gown preliminary competition at the Miss Universe pageant.
In a February post on Instagram, she reflected on the unexpected setback and the lessons she has learned throughout her recovery.
“This season has redefined restoration and renewal for me,” Henry wrote. “At a time when I wanted only to represent Jamaica at my fullest, I faced the most unexpected injury of my life. It shifted everything. Yet I have learned that a fall can uncover a depth of strength you did not know you possessed.”
She said her greatest strength has been her determination to keep moving forward, even while healing.
Henry also expressed gratitude to the medical professionals in both Jamaica and Thailand who have supported her during her recovery.
“This period has given me space to reflect,” she wrote. “What happened was not an ending; it marked the beginning of building a stronger legacy, creating impact, and leaving a meaningful mark.”
She reaffirmed her commitment to making Jamaica proud and inspiring others through her journey of resilience and recovery.
