Ralph was in Ocho Rios as part of a broadcast collaboration involving Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, Sandals Resorts, and the Jamaica Tourist Board. During the visit, she joined hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones to highlight aspects of Jamaican culture alongside local entertainers such as Shaggy and Sean Paul.
In addition to leisure activities, Ralph engaged audiences with creative reflections on her iconic characters, including roles from Abbott Elementary and Moesha, imagining how they might spend a day in Jamaica.
The actress, who has long embraced her Jamaican heritage, continues to serve as a cultural ambassador for the island. In 2022, she was awarded the Order of Jamaica in recognition of her contributions to the arts and her role in promoting Jamaica internationally.
Speaking during the broadcast, Ralph praised the resilience of the Jamaican people, particularly in the aftermath of recent natural disasters, and expressed pride in the country’s culture and cuisine.
Her visit underscores her ongoing connection to Jamaica and her continued influence as both an entertainer and cultural representative.
