ST. CATHERINE, Jamaica — A 24-year-old Jamaican man who fled the country while on bail for murder was arrested at Norman Manley International Airport on Thursday after being deported from the United States.
The man, identified as Rogea Reid of Old Harbour Road, St. Catherine, is facing charges of murder, absconding bail, and breaching bail conditions.

Reid was among 61 deportees who arrived on a chartered flight from Alexandria, Louisiana, around 11:55 a.m. Upon arrival, he was immediately handed over to law enforcement officials for processing. During the procedure, he was taken into custody.
Authorities confirmed that Reid was the only deportee detained from the flight.
