Anthony Chow-Tai, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Anthony was a gifted cook whose talent first led him to work as a chef at a hotel in Jamaica. After immigrating to America, he built a longstanding career in the dietary department of one of Long Island’s largest hospitals. His work was not just a profession, but an extension of his deep care for people—nourishing others with both his meals and his kindness.

Known for his humor, charisma, and warmth, Anthony had the rare ability to make everyone feel at ease—whether he was sharing jokes with strangers on the street or standing firmly by those he loved. He was a man of immense empathy and courage, a loyal protector who showed unwavering devotion to his family. With a generous spirit and an open heart, he stood up for those who needed him most.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Michele; his children Genevah, Dean, Damian, and LaToya; his sisters Jennifer, Viviene, Shirley, Lorraine, Hillary, and Christeen; and his brothers Norris and Junior. He also leaves behind grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family who loved him dearly.
Anthony’s memory will live on in the countless lives he touched with his laughter, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family. His legacy is one of love, strength, and community.
